An hour into opening, the market continues trading weak with both midcap and small cap shares under pressure. Realty, metals and capital goods are leading the losses. Asian markets also continue to trade in the red. Sensex is trading at 16209, down 118 points from its previous close, and Nifty is at 4846, down 41 points. The market breadth is negative with advances at 406 against declines of 763 on the NSE.

Indian market opens in the negative.

US markets closed positive but post the market closing the US Fed made an important announcement of discount rate hike. Asian markets opened edgy and are trading weak post the Fed news. Our market opens in the negative. Sensex is trading at 16191, down 135 points and Nifty is at 4840, down 40 points from the previous close.
